The latest Merino wool price report for the 1st wool auction of the 2026 season took place on 19 August 2026. The new wool season commenced on a softer note compared to the final sale of the previous season. Despite the softer opening, the market remains on a very positive footing, with current prices still approximately 57% higher than at the corresponding time last year.
