On the 31st wool auction of the 2018/2019 season, the merino wool market indicator increased with +2,5% to close on 20739c per kg clean. This is approximately 8,75% higher than a year ago.

Average clean wool price indicators for good quality long fleece wool (MF4/MF5) with a tenstile strength of 35 (NKT) were as follows:

18 µ      23707  (+3,9%)                         21 µ      21722   (+2,0%)

19 µ     22383  (+1,3%)                         22 µ     21633   (+3,9%)

20 µ     21695  (+1,0%)

The main buyers on the sale were: G Modiano (4,431 bales), Standard Wool (2,805 bales), Tianyu SA (1,149 bales). Of the 10,852 bales offered 10,145 bales were declared sold (93%).
