On the 32nd wool auction of the 2016/2017 season, the Cape Wools merino wool market indicator increased by

+1,8% to close on 16237c per kg clean.

Average clean wool price indicators for good quality long fleece wool (MF4/MF5) with a tenstile strength of

35 (NKT) were as follows:

18 µ 22130  (+0,9%) 21 µ 14776 (+3,4%)

19 µ 19614  (+1,3%) 22 µ 13415   (+2,3%)

20 µ 15859  (+2,3%) 23 µ 13312   (+2,1%)

The main buyers on the sale were: G Modiano (1,771 bales), Standard Wool (1,531 bales),

Lempriere South Africa (972 bales). Of the 5,348 bales offered 5,469 bales were declared sold (97%).
