The mohair market experienced downward pressure at the final sale of the 2018 winter selling season to closed 4.0% cheaper at R278.97/kg. The stronger SA currency made trading conditions difficult, which hampered competition op the day. The Rand traded at R13.61 to the US Dollar and R15.51 to the Euro. The Rand strengthened 3.3% against the US Dollar and 3.5% against the Euro compared with the average rates at the previous sale.
