The Comprehensive Critical Illness benefit, covering 57 conditions is extensive including a wide range of cardiovascular and nervous system illnesses and procedures; various cancers; organ diseases, failures and transplants; loss of use of limbs; accidental HIV infection; and advanced AIDS, and offers a catch-all benefit. This benefit also offers a children’s benefit, where children of the insured (from 6–months to 21–years, 24 if the child is a full-time student), can claim against any of the 57 conditions covered under this benefit. The benefit pays 15% of the benefit amount payable for that condition, subject to a maximum of R300 000. And the best part is, children’s claims don’t affect the life insured’s cover.
Up to R7 500 000 of cover is available subject to financial underwriting applied by the product provider.
