Niekerksrust 54th Auction Results

On Wednesday, 19 June 2019, Niekerksrust held its 54th production auction at Viljoenskroon. It was a successful day, with an average of R12 230 for the rams and R5 306 for the ewes. The most expensive ram was sold for R30 000 to Mr Pieter Booyens, from Koppies, and Mr Deon van Wyk, from Delmas, bought the most expensive ewe for R12 000.

The mohair market came under pressure at the last sale of the 2019 summer season, with the average market indicator decreasing with 2.0% to close at R284.43/kg.
