BKB Eiendomme (Pty) Ltd was established in 1972 as a wholly owned company by one of the founder members of Farmer Brokers Co-operative Limited (BKB). The aim was to offer a complementary real estate marketing service to the already well-developed wool, mohair, livestock marketing activities and the invaluable service of supplying of farming requisites in the rural areas. The formation of Farmer Brokers Co-operative Limited (BKB) in 1975 gave rise to the expansion of the real estate business to be active in many rural districts of the Republic of South Africa.
ACTIVITIES
BKB Eiendomme (Pty) Ltd concentrates on the marketing of agricultural land. In this field of real estate it is well qualified. The majority of its fifty-nine real estate agents have agricultural diplomas from agricultural colleges or agricultural university degrees. Most of these agents are situated in the rural areas and have an intimate knowledge of local farming conditions in the area in which they reside.
BKB Eiendomme (Pty) Ltd has a close relationship with financial institutions acting in many instances on their behalf when it comes to real estate business. The relationship is of great value to clients with regard to financial matters.
The main thrust of BKB Eiendomme (Pty) Ltd’ business is agricultural land but urban residential and business properties also form part of the company’s brief.
